Summer vacation is ending.
Yes, I said it.
And yes, I will wash my mouth out with soap now.
’Dem are dirty words in my house!
Summer.
Beautiful summer.
Hot summer.
Fabulous summer.
We love summer!
And it’s with tears that we approach the beginning of the new school year.
Well, 3/4 of us approach it with tears.
The weird child,
our youngest,
a.k.a Scooter
shouts hurrah when school is mentioned.
He seriously celebrates.
If I hadn’t given birth to him myself, I’d question his parentage.
If I hadn’t kept him in the hospital room the entire time we were there,
I’d swear he had been switched.
Oh, and there’s that little thing about him looking EXACTLY like his father.
But, other than that, I definitely question:
WHERE DID HE COME FROM!?!
As quickly as this summer passed, we still had some fun times.
Can you tell by the lack of posts?
There was no time for blogging.
I’ll do a quick photo catch up now.
Just for posterity… you know….
Flynn’s Birthday Surprise
An hour flying with an instructor
Children’s Theatre
Aladdin.
Scooter played the part of “Baker” and had a line…
”Thief! Thief! Someone stole my bread!”
I was lucky enough to be part of the production crew, helping the director work with 120 kids.
4th of July at Cabin
Playing in the lake, crawdad catching, hiking
Golfing
With Flynn’s apartment in the background
(I can’t get the underline button to turn off…. weird.)
Flynn lives in the apartment on the top left.
A New Toy!
More Camping mingled with Huckleberry Picking
Devil’s Tower and a Mud Run
Gramps and Squirt Bonding Time
It was a GREAT summer, filled with fun and lots of
MAKING MEMORIES!

It has been a very fun summer even if we are apart. Our time together is precious and we dont waste a minute of it. Now we have the winter to look forward to!
I can't believe school is starting this week! AND I've been transported back into the "first day of school" thing with Lexi being with us. Yikes.
Better get some school shopping done, kindergarden is all about the look you know.
Looks like you ate up the summer. Carpe Diem!
Squirt is definitely a cutie!
How fun to have a child that is excited about school and looking forward to it. Weird, but awesome.
Flying lesson for Flynn, wow! I bet he was in heaven!
